SUPPLYING ARTWORK ON DISK CHECKLIST
 
• Program files preferred are Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop and QuarkXpress.
 
• All images and fonts (screen and printer), must be listed and included in the output file.
 
• File should be in CMYK format for 4 color process only, use spot color mode for 1-2 color jobs.
 
• Provide a high quality print proof for file reference along with your disc.
 
• All eps and tiff files must be included in the file.
 
• Files can be supplied on 100MB Zip, CD or DVD
 
• Supply all fonts associated with design, including screen fonts, printer fonts, suitcases, etc.
 
• PDF files are not acceptable. Send native application files from original software program.
 
• Supply all supporting or linked files (EPS, TIFF, etc.). Color settings should be saved to match final output.
 
• Use Pantone Color Matching System or 4 Color Process. RGB files are not accepted.
 
• Any special requests or additional changes should be clearly written in legible form.
 
• Place all native format files, fonts, and imported images into a single folder. Send only the files needed for output and label all items in a logical order.
 
• Include designer's name, phone number and e-mail address for contact if problems arise.
 
• Technical questions concerning trapping, screen angles, gradients, etc. can be answered by brad@tapecomplex.com.
 
 
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
 
• Tape Complex recommends a neutral white base as a fifth color for best results when using CMYK process.
 
• Please specify if a white or silver base is required when submitting your file
 
• If CMYK, please ensure that all RGB images are converted to CMYK process colors.
 
• All images must be high resolution (300 dpi or greater).
 
• Minimum type size is 5pt, minimum reverse type size is 6pt, and minimum line thickness is .5 pt.
 
• Serif type faces are not recommended for small font sizes.
 
• Centre cross hairs and registration marks are essential.
 
• Do not create bleeds on outer or inner edge.
 
• If using illustrator, the text must be converted to outlines.
